Saturday 14th. The Gale was still raging with fury this morning until 4 PM, when we had a lull, but the Captn’s Barometer showed no signs of rising. therefore we made no more sail in case it should again burst upon us. the sea was coming down upon us in short heavy masses breaking like a ground swell, towards midnight it gradually lulled and the next day -
