We now have access to the International Encyclopedia of the Social & Behavioral Sciences
What is it? The online version of a huge and hugely important encyclopedia. One review commented on its breadth and significance:  “Like the pyramids, the work is monumental in scope, will prove to be enduring in its contribution, and is surely one of the great wonders of the scientific world.”(Contemporary Psychology, APA Review of Books, 2004, Vol. 49, No. 6).
How big is it? Very big. It contains 4,000 articles, 122,400 entries, 90,000 bibliographic references, and extensive subject and subject indexes.
What is it good for? It covers 50+ general subject areas, taking in Psychology, Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience, Anthropology, Evolutionary Science, Economics, Geography, History, Philosophy, Language and Linguistics, Management, Political Science and a whole lot more. Many interdisciplinary topics are also covered, e.g. ethics for research, using statistics, and research design.
Where do I find it? On SAULCAT or via ScienceDirect.
