Friday 26th. Rather finer at 8 AM but still a nasty sea on. 9 AM. Shook 1 reef out of the F. and M. Topsails and set Crossjack F Jib and F. and M.T.G Sail. The Sailmaker and Chips putting a new Mast-coat on the mainmast. 10 AM. Set F and Mizn T.G. Sails. Going 7 knots. 2 PM. Stowed F and Mizn T.G. Sails. 7PM set F and Mizn T.G. Sails and M Royal. Going 7. Pumps carefully attended. Lat 37′13.
