Dawsonera launch a new and improved reader for ebooks

Dawsonera have launched a new version of their ebook platform which has resulted in improved usability and increased functionality.  The initial page remains unchanged, with the options to Download or Read Online

Dawson read online Using the Read Online option, new features include:

  • page range printing – previous version allowed single-page printing only, now you can easily select a range of pages you want to print;
    You can print a single page, or a range of pages.  The allowance available shows, and if you need to reprint a section you have selected, you can do so without affecting the remaining allowance.

    Currently this feature doesn’t work where page numbers are given as Roman numerals, in which case the “Print current page” option is available;
  • clearer indication of the number of pages the publisher allows you to print or copy;
  • adding your own note to a book, which you can then export to a text file, or share with others in the University;

  • the ability to increase the amount of the screen used to display the book, use the Expand button to collapse the top navigation area:

  • the facility to zoom in and out to change the font size to meet your own preferences;
  • a more responsive mobile and tablet version with the same features as the desktop site.
