We now have access to the online version of the Birds of North America encyclopedia.
What is it? BNA Online provides comprehensive life histories for each of the 716+ species of birds breeding in the USA and Canada. It’s produced by the Ornithology Lab at Cornell University and the American Ornithologists’ Union.
What’s new in the online version? Extra features include:

  • image and video galleries showing plumages, behaviours, habitat, nests and eggs, and more.
  • recordings of the songs and calls of their species
  • frequent updates, with contributions from researchers, citizen scientists, and designated reviewers and editors.

Where do I find it? On SAULCAT or via our A-Z list of databases.
