My FT screen

On 1st August 2016 the FT.com will migrate to a new platform and the interface will change. The new service will be faster, more mobile friendly and more personalised.

How will I find the content I need?
All the sections you are familiar with can still be found on the menu bar along the top of the screen. Use the Menu option at the top left of the screen to see sub sections and to find key content such as Today’s Paper and Special Reports
What new features can I expect?
The new FT.com includes a personal area called MyFT which surfaces the content most relevant to you and collates it in one place. Here you will find information on the topics you follow, articles which you have saved for reading later and the option to set up e-mail alerts based on the topics you are interested in. The image below shows you how to collect this content:

News and Opinions have been separated on the new platform. The latest news headlines show on the main page. You can access other news articles by clicking on World, UK or Companies on the toolbar or enter keywords into the search box. To view a replica of the print newspaper choose Today’s Paper from the drop down menu. Under Opinions you will find a section called Big Read which provides more detailed analysis of why events have happened.
In addition to the existing content the Markets Data section now offers enhanced charting for instant comparisons and the option to set up data alerts on your mobile. In addition you will be able to compare economic data using a macromap.
Do I need to do anything before the migration?
No! All the work for the migration will be done by FT.com
If you use the alerting system on the current platform your alerts will automatically be transferred to MyFT section on the new site.
If you want to familiarise yourself with the new site prior to the migration then access FT.com as normal and choose the link in the black toolbar “Click here to try our new website”
How do I get help with the new interface?
If you have any questions, can’t find the content you need or want advice on how to use the new features then contact us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help.
