Research Software Survey
Following the Research Data Management survey during the summer, we would like to try and capture some more information about the development of software for research via a more focused survey of those people at St Andrews who develop software as part of their research activity.
This is so that we can better understand how best to support this sort of activity by
- Publishing guidance and advice on good practice
- Providing training
- Providing support services and resources
The responses to this survey should provide good evidence of the needs of those people at St Andrews who are engaged in developing software for research, helping us to prioritise and to make the case for new resources where necessary. Better support should lead to better software and thus to better and more reproducible research.
The survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete and is open until 17:00 on Friday 9th December. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
