Closures and changes to opening times over winter vacation
We hope you all have a lovely festive season and winter break!
Most Library facilities will close at 5pm on Friday 21 December 2018 and reopen on Thursday 3 January 2019. Libraries will then move to vacation opening hours. During this time, from Thursday 3 until Sunday 20 January 2019 inclusive our opening hours for the Main Library will be:
Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm
Saturday to Sunday 10am until 5pm

Please note that the Main Library, St Mary’s College Library and The Richardson Research Library at Martyrs Kirk will also be closed all day on Friday 11 January 2019 for an all-staff training event.

Main Library
Our opening hours will change on Thursday 20 December:

- Friday 21 December 9am until 5pm
Thomson Reading Room, Martyrs Kirk
Our opening hours will change on Thursday 20 December:
- Thursday 20 December 8am until 4pm
- Friday 21 December 9am until 5pm
St Mary’s College Library (inc King James Library)
Our opening hours will change on Thursday 20 December:
- Thursday 20 December 9am until 4pm
- Friday 21 December 9am until 5pm
JF Allen Library
Our opening hours will change on Thursday 20 December:
- Thursday 20 December 8am until 5.45pm
- Friday 21 December 8am until 5pm
Library at the Gateway
We will be closed for vacation from Thursday 20 December 2018 until Wednesday 2 January 2019 (inclusive).
