Thieves about – student belongings stolen Monday 10th February

Please be vigilant when using the Main Library. A theft took place there on Monday evening this week.  A student left their personal belongings unattended at a desk on Level 4, her wallet was later found by a member of staff in the Level 3 female toilets. Credit and bank cards were in the wallet but all of the student’s cash had been stolen.
By leaving your belongings unattended for any length of time, you not only deprive fellow users of a study space but you leave yourself vulnerable to theft. Please keep in mind that the University cannot accept responsibility for the theft of students’ personal items, when students have chosen to leave those items unattended.
