Day 128. Flying fish and salt horse: a seafaring tale
6th December 1859:
A Journal kept on board the ship Philanthropist, Mr J Russell Master, on a passage from Rio de Janeiro, to Callao - By R P Hobson.
Tuesday December 6th, 1859. The tug Boat came along side at about 6 A M and towed us out to sea when we set sail and she left us, a breeze sprung up about 9 A M and we went along with a fair wind.
Richard starts a new chapter for the new journey. He also starts to note the date properly. Fare well to Rio.
