We're pleased to announce that permanent access to English Historical Documents Online is now available, following a very successful trial.  
  EHD Online is the result of a partnership between Routledge, the publisher, and the Institute of Historical Research, at the University of London. It offers the most comprehensive, annotated collection of primary source documents on British history ever compiled, covering the years 500 -1914, plus American history to 1776. A wide variety of sources include  government and cabinet proceedings, military dispatches, newspaper articles, pamphlets, personal and official letters and diaries, etc., accompanied by editorial commentary to provide context. Topics range from political and constitutional issues to social, economic, religious and cultural history.  Key features include:
