Friday 9th. Aboard the Ida. H.C. Kidston and Garland. Guano 7 1/2 tons. 

Here’s an advert offering Chincha guano back home in Dundee, available from Peter Thoms direct from the ship. That was in 1844 when it was still a fairly recent innovation (msdep76/12). Other guanos are available. Including African Guano from Ichaboe (an island off the coast of Namibia).
