Thursday 15th. Received a Letter from home and Henry Brooks. Arrived the Matilda of Glasgow. Arrived the Sultan of Liverpool.

Another letter from home and from a friend called Henry Brooks. The letters must be brought by other ships arriving all the time from England so there’s more chance for Richard to get news from home than anywhere else he has been.
