Thursday 12th. This morning the Gale abated a little at 5 AM. and Chopped round to S.W. but before the Captn could run her, the Sailmaker with another man to help him, has to mend the Foresail, by 8 AM all was ready, it was square the Yards, up helm, and away with her, for London. We continued making sail during the day and night, the wind decreasing gradually, and before morning it being -
