Burnsiana

A recent arrival is this little collection of scrapbooks of newspaper cuttings about Robert Burns, printed copies of his songs, and letters from keen amateur Burns enthusiasts, collected by Iain MacDougall between 1913 and 1932, and put by him into in lovely homemade notebooks with elaborate handwritten labels. Also included in the package was some mould, some rust and a few bugs, not the kind of freebies we are so keen on, but we will deal with them. This very nice collection was given to us in memory of Rev Dr W J MacIntyre of Crail by his son.
