Main Library partial closures 25-27 February and 4-6 March
As work continues in the redevelopment of the Main Library, it will regrettably be necessary for partial closures over the next two weekends. These closures are in order to test the air conditioning, which is an important stage in commissioning the Library’s new heating and ventilation system. The closures will be as follows:
Weekend of 25-27 February
Levels 3 and 4 of the Main Library will be closed from 8am Saturday 25 February to 8am Monday 27 February.
Unfortunately, this means that there will be no access to collections, although study space, enquiry and IT help services on Level 2 will be open as usual, as will our 24/7 digital library and our other library spaces.
Weekend of 4-6 March
Level 2 of the Main Library will be closed from 8am Saturday 4 March to 8am Monday 6 March.
On these dates access to levels 3 and 4 collections and study space will be available via the Fire Door at the side entrance of the building. Please note that the library will close at 10pm on both those days. Our 24/7 digital library and all other Library spaces are unaffected.
