Library Collecting Competition 2023
In advance of next year’s J.D. Forbes collecting prize, the Library is running a collecting competition of our own.
Your collection can be anything – books on a theme (these can be books owned by you or owned by the Library and curated by you), vintage shoes, baseball cards, science equipment from the 1950’s… Anything that you can convince us is a collection counts!
To enter, send us at least 5 photographs of your Collection, along with 1 or 2 paragraphs about what it is and why you love it. There’s no minimum word count, and the formality level is set at ‘minimal’. Email your entries to [email protected]
Winners will be chosen by a small panel of Library staff, based purely on what speaks to us, so have fun some with it. Our three favourite Collections will each win a gift card. We’ll also include your winning photographs on our social media/library blog and, where possible, put up a display of reproduced images in the Main Library.
The competition is open to all current University of St Andrews students and staff.
Competition closes at midnight Sunday 3 December 2023.
